My first iPhone App: FLL Body Forward Score Card
Thu, Sep. 16, 2010Well, it has been too long since I last posted here, but I have some big news. A few days ago I submitted my first iPhone app to the iTunes app store. It is called FLL Body Forward Score Card, and is a scoring app used for the First Lego League 2010 season.
My friend Brian Kyle and I worked on this app for a few weeks and we are really excited by how it turned out! I think that it is a nice venture into the world of programing iPhone apps. It was definitely a learning curve. Programing in Objective C is a little different than in PHP or Javascript. The syntax is so different, and it took a while to wrap my mind around that. Memory management was another issue, but after time I got used to that as well.
We have a few more apps up our sleeves. Our next app is already about half done. All I will say is that it utilizes GPS is a pretty cool way, and I already use the app frequently!
I will post again when we get approval from Apple. It has been 3 days, so I hope it will be soon!
